Location: Elland, Halifax

Terberg DTS UK is looking for a Yard Foreman/Woman to be responsible for the vehicle movements of shunter / vehicle on site at Elland.

What is the job role?

To be responsible for shunter / vehicle movements on site at Elland and to carry out maintenance work on site plus any other general workshop cleaning duties as required.

Requirements and what we are looking for

  • Operating shunters and general vehicle movement throughout the site.
  • Planning and organising vehicle movement in line with workshop processing for ‘just in time’ availability.
  • Assist in loading and unloading of shunters on to inbound and outbound transport.
  • Take off hire photos of shunters on arrival on site and on hire photos prior to shunter being delivered to the customer.
  • Carry out /support with general building maintenance work i.e. tidying, health and safety etc.
  • To provide further assistance to other team members as and when required.
  • To operate the forklift in line with duties.
  • To work with all departments, particularly with projects that are being explored or implemented.
  • Undertake any other duties consistent with the purpose of this job or to support the needs of the business.
  • Able to work using own initiative.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Able to demonstrate positive communication and customer service.
  • Able to communicate effectively.
  • Able to prioritise own work.
  • Able to adapt to organisational changes.
  • Able to use a computer and the main software packages competently.
  • Able to operate and control equipment.
  • Able to plan and organise the yard effectively.
  • Current driving license (HGV licence would be an advantage).
  • Forklift license would be preferred, onsite training can be given.
