Cleaner

Terberg DTS UK is looking for Cleaners to join our Business Services/Support team.

Location: Elland, Halifax

What is the job role?

To maintain a visibly high standard of cleanliness, a safe and welcoming environment across the site; including offices, meeting rooms, workshop/warehouse area, break out rooms, restrooms etc. Including general cleaning but not limited to ; sweeping, mopping, use of mechanical cleaning machines, vacuuming, dusting surfaces, scrubbing, cleaning of glazed partitions and disinfecting restrooms. The maintenance of a and emptying bins etc. Working in line with Health and Safety regulations in all aspects of the role.

Requirements and what we are looking for

• Preferred previous experience as a Cleaner/Housekeeper.
• Performing a variety of cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, buffing , glass cleaning and polishing.
• Ensuring all rooms are cared for and inspected according to standards.
• Protecting equipment and making sure there are no inadequacies.
• Notify superiors on any damages, deficits and disturbances.
• Deal with reasonable complaints/requests with professionalism and patience.
• Check stocking levels of all consumables and replace when appropriate.
• Adhere strictly to rules regarding health and safety and be aware of any company-related practices.
• Responsible for removing waste in office /communal areas in the correct manner.
• Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing of restrooms daily.
• Responsible for cleaning of internal windows in conference rooms, management offices, etc.
• Perform dusting, disinfecting, and polishing of surfaces and furniture as needed.
• Responsible for reporting repairs and replacements encountered when executing daily tasks.
• To work with all departments, particularly with projects that are being explored or implemented.
• Undertake any other duties consistent with the purpose of this job or to support the needs of the business.
• Additional request when requested by management
• This role is manually inclined, so it is important that the candidate is able to lift, reach, stretch, bend and climb during daily activities. The site is spread across 2 floors and 4 buildings.
• Taking ownership for the cleanliness of the site, it is visibly clean, hygienic and safe for all users.
• High attention to detail when cleaning and to ensure standard of finish is to the agreed standard.
